Amlovas H Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and lower the risk of serious complications such as stroke, heart attack and kidney problems. It is a combination medicine containing amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and hydrochlorothiazide (a diuretic).
These complications are linked to long-term hypertension, and blood pressure needs ongoing control. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well.
Cut down on salt from pickles, papad and packaged snacks, stay physically active, maintain a healthy weight and limit alcohol.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, gout, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report troublesome ankle swelling, marked dizziness, muscle cramps or a significant change in how much urine you pass. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
