Amaryl 3 Tablet is an oral diabetes medicine used to lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Maintaining blood sugar within a target range helps lower the risk of long-term diabetes complications such as kidney damage, nerve problems, vision loss, and heart disease.
It contains glimepiride. Take it with breakfast or the first main meal of the day as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip meals while taking this medicine, as skipping meals increases the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia).
A balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate intake, regular physical exercise, and routine blood glucose monitoring are essential components of your diabetes management plan.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, severe hormonal imbalances, or G6PD deficiency. Carry a source of fast-acting sugar (such as glucose tablets or fruit juice) with you in case you experience low blood sugar symptoms.
