Acnedap Plus Gel 15gm

Acnedap Plus Gel is used to reduce the severity and number of acne outbreaks. It helps prevent new pimples from forming, controls excessive oiliness, unclogs pores, and promotes faster healing of existing acne lesions, improving the overall appearance of acne-prone skin.

• Start by thoroughly cleaning and drying the affected skin area.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected skin, preferably in the evening.

• A pea-sized amount is usually enough for your entire face.

• Avoid contact with your eyes, lips, and any mucous membranes.

• Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.

• Remember to consult your doctor for any specific instructions regarding its use.

Acnedap Plus Gel is applied topically.

Acnedap Plus Gel contains two active ingredients:

• Adapalene (0.1 %): It is in a class of medications called retinoid-like compounds. It binds to specific retinoic acid receptors (RARs) in your skin cells. These receptors play an important role in regulating cell growth. By binding to RARs, adapalene normalises cell differentiation, reduces inflammation, and decreases excessive keratinization (a process where skin cells become filled with keratin protein) that can block pores.

• Dapsone (5 %): It is a sulfone antibiotic. This component has anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing the activity of neutrophils, a type of white blood cells that can cause inflammation when overactive. In addition, dapsone exhibits antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes, a bacteria linked with acne development.

• Keep Acnedap Plus Gel at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Always store the gel in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed when not in use to prevent exposure to air.

• Keep Acnedap Plus Gel out of reach of children.

• Make sure you use this medication before its expiry date for optimal effectiveness.

• For the management of acne, maintain a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins; these foods supply essential nutrients for skin health and can aid in the healing process.

• Regularly clean your face with a gentle cleanser to remove excess oil and impurities that can clog pores and worsen acne. Be sure not to scrub too hard as this can irritate the skin and exacerbate acne.
