Tyza 1% Cream 15gm is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ringworm. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing terbinafine, which belongs to a class of medicines called allylamine antifungals.
This medicine is also used to treat pityriasis versicolor (a yeast infection causing pale or dark patches) and yeast infections in skin folds. It kills the fungus and relieves itching, redness and peeling. Clean and dry the skin, then apply a thin layer to the rash and the surrounding skin, as prescribed by your doctor, and complete the full course even if the skin looks better.
Keep the skin clean and dry, wear loose, breathable clothing and footwear, change socks daily, and do not share towels or shoes, to help stop the infection spreading or coming back.
This cream is for use on the skin only; keep it away from the eyes and mouth. Before using it, tell your doctor about any allergies and other skin products you use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if the treated skin becomes more irritated, blisters, or the infection does not improve after the prescribed course. Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
