Lupase 25000 Tablet is used to treat exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, a condition where the pancreas does not make enough digestive enzymes. This results in poor breakdown of food and difficulty absorbing nutrients. It is used in conditions such as chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, and after removal of the pancreas.
It contains pancreatic enzymes that help break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates from food. Take it with every meal and snack as prescribed, swallowing it whole with plenty of fluid. Do not crush or chew it. The dose is adjusted by your doctor based on your symptoms and stool pattern.
Following a balanced diet with appropriate fat content, as advised by your doctor or dietitian, supports the enzyme replacement. Monitoring your nutritional status and keeping all follow-up appointments help your doctor make sure the dose is right.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any allergies, particularly to pork products, and about any bowel conditions. Tell your doctor if you develop severe stomach pain or changes in bowel habits. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
