• Zycel-200 Capsule is used to treat pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, joint pain in rheumatoid arthritis, back pain in ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain, menstrual cramps, and symptoms of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children aged 2 and above.
• Easing menstrual cramps and associated pain, known as primary dysmenorrhoea
• Controlling symptoms in children aged 2 years and above diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis

To take Zycel-200 Capsule correctly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.
• You can take it with or without food, as per your preference.
• Always adhere to the dosage instructions given by your doctor.

Zycel-200 Capsule contains celecoxib (200 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Selective Inhibition of COX-2 Enzymes: Celecoxib blocks cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes. These enzymes are involved in producing prostaglandins that cause inflammation, pain, and fever. By inhibiting COX-2, celecoxib reduces these symptoms.
• Minimal Effect on COX-1 Enzymes: Unlike non-selective NSAIDs that block both COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, celecoxib predominantly targets only COX-2 while sparing COX-1 enzymes that maintain normal gastric mucosa and platelet functions. This selective action reduces the risk of stomach ulcers and bleeding often associated with non-selective NSAIDs.
