Zycel 100 Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis: This is a condition where joints deteriorate causing pain and swelling.

• Handling discomfort and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis: A condition where your immune system mistakenly attacks your joints.

• Dealing with pain and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis: An inflammatory condition predominantly affecting the spine.

• Managing acute pain: This refers to short-term pain, like after a surgery or injury.

• Easing primary dysmenorrhoea: Painful menstrual cramps and associated discomfort.

Here is how you should take Zycel 100 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or break the capsule.

• Do not modify the dose without consulting your doctor.

Zycel 100 Capsule is taken orally.

Zycel 100 Capsule contains celecoxib (100 mg). It acts on your body in the following ways:

• COX-2 Inhibition: Celecoxib inhibits an enzyme in your body called cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This enzyme is responsible for the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that promote inflammation and increase pain in your body.

• Reduction in Inflammation and Pain: By blocking the activity of COX-2, celecoxib effectively reduces inflammation and pain. The selective inhibition of COX-2 over COX-1 reduces the risk of gastrointestinal side effects, making it a safer choice compared to non-selective NSAIDs.

• Store your Zycel 100 Capsule in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays between 15°C and 30°C.
