CompositionZocef Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in children. It helps clear infections of the respiratory tract, skin, urinary system, and other organs, supporting your child's recovery.
It contains cefuroxime, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Reconstitute the syrup with boiled and cooled water as instructed and give it to your child as prescribed. It is important to complete the full course of treatment, even if your child feels better sooner, to prevent the infection from returning.
Encourage your child to rest and stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water or clear fluids during recovery. Ensure good hygiene practices, such as frequent handwashing, to prevent the spread of infection.
Inform your doctor if your child has a history of severe kidney problems or known allergies to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics. Contact your doctor immediately if your child develops severe diarrhoea, a skin rash, or signs of an allergic reaction.
