Axacef 125 MG Dry Syrup 30 ML is used for managing the following conditions:

• Upper respiratory tract infections like pharyngitis and sinusitis

• Lower respiratory tract infections including bronchitis and pneumonia

• A middle ear infection known as otitis media

• Infections in the skin and soft tissues

• Infections in the urinary tract, commonly known as UTIs

• Bone and joint infections

• Uncomplicated form of a sexually transmitted disease, gonorrhoea.

• Add water to the bottle as per the instructions on the package to prepare the suspension.

Axacef 125 MG Dry Syrup 30 ML contains Cefuroxime (125 mg) and works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefuroxime works by blocking penicillin-binding proteins in your body. These proteins are crucial in forming the cell wall inside bacteria.

• Causes Bacterial Cell lysis: As Cefuroxime blocks the formation of the bacterial cell wall, the weakened bacteria eventually burst open due to osmotic pressure. This results in the killing of the bacteria.

• Exhibits Time-Dependent Killing: The bactericidal action of Cefuroxime means it kills bacteria over time, helping to manage the infection effectively.
