Zivast F Tablet is used in adults to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack and stroke.

Here's how you should take Zivast F Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or split the tablet.

• Maintain consistency in taking this medicine at the same time every day for best results.

• Do not change your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Zivast F Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Zivast F Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): It blocks an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase that the body uses to produce cholesterol. By reducing cholesterol production in the liver, atorvastatin effectively manages total and LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels in the blood. It also aids the liver in breaking down and removing LDL already present in the blood.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This ingredient activates a receptor known as PPARα, leading to an increased breakdown of triglycerides and an increase in HDL ("good") cholesterol production. This enhanced breakdown of triglycerides results in decreased blood triglyceride levels. Fenofibrate also causes LDL particles to shift from small, dense (more harmful) types to large, buoyant (less harmful) types.

• Keep your Zivast F Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Avoid places with excessive light, heat or moisture.

• Make sure the medication is kept out of the reach of children.

• You should follow a low-fat diet as Zivast F Tablet 10 helps manage high cholesterol and triglycerides. This means reducing saturated fats in foods like fatty meat, butter, cakes, and biscuits.

• Regular physical activity is also essential. To help lower your cholesterol levels, aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, such as brisk walking or cycling, each week.
