Xyprost 0.03 % Eye Drops 3 Ml

XYPROST 0.03 % EYE DROPS 3 ML are used for the following:

• Reducing high pressure inside the eye

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Treating ocular hypertension

• Preventing optic nerve damage

• Improving drainage of eye fluid

• Controlling chronic elevated eye pressure

Follow these instructions while using XYPROST 0.03 % EYE DROPS 3 ML:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instiling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the dropper above your eye without touching any part of your eye.

• Squeeze one drop into the pocket formed by your lower eyelid.

• Close your eye and press your finger against the inner corner for 1-2 minutes.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Replace the cap immediately after use.

• Remove contact lenses before instiling the drops and reinsert 15 minutes after.

XYPROST 0.03 % EYE DROPS 3 ML are instiled topically.

XYPROST 0.03 % EYE DROPS 3 ML contain Bimatoprost (0.03%), which works on the eye as follows:

• Increases fluid drainage: Bimatoprost enhances the natural drainage of aqueous humour (the clear fluid inside your eye) through pathways called the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral routes, helping to reduce pressure inside the eye.

• Mimics natural substances: Bimatoprost acts as a synthetic prostamide analogue, which means it mimics naturally occurring substances called prostaglandins that help regulate pressure within the eye.

• Reduces intraocular pressure: By improving the outflow of fluid from your eye, bimatoprost effectively lowers the intraocular pressure (the pressure inside your eye), which helps protect the optic nerve from damage.

• Store at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protect it from light.

• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening, even if the solution remains.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Maintain regular exercise, as physical activity can help reduce intraocular pressure (eye pressure), which is beneficial when managing glaucoma.

• Consider a diet rich in antioxidants from colourful fruits and vegetables, as these nutrients support overall eye health and may help protect the optic nerve.
