Bimat Eye Drops 3ml

Bimat Eye Drops are used for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and managing ocular hypertension. They work by reducing increased inner eye pressure and are crucial for the prevention of optic nerve damage and the preservation of vision in glaucoma patients. They are also indicated for the management of chronic eye pressure conditions.

Follow these instructions while using Bimat Eye Drops:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the eye drops.
• Remove contact lenses before applying the drops.
• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid gently.
• Hold the dropper close to your eye without touching any part of your eye.
• Squeeze one drop into the pocket formed by your lower eyelid.
• Close your eyes and press your finger against the inner corner for 1-2 minutes.
• Replace the cap immediately after use.

Bimat Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Bimat Eye Drops contain two active ingredients:

• Bimatoprost (0.03%): This component works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humour (fluid inside the eye) through the uveoscleral pathway. This action helps reduce the pressure inside your eye by improving drainage of excess fluid.
• Benzalkonium chloride (0.005%): This acts as an antimicrobial preservative in the eye drop solution. It prevents bacterial contamination and ensures the drops remain sterile throughout their use. This component helps maintain the safety and effectiveness of the medicine during its shelf life.

• Store Bimat Eye Drops at room temperature (15-30°C) in the original container.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Protect from direct light and moisture.
• Store away from children's reach.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening it.

• Maintain regular eye check-ups: If you have open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (increased pressure in the eye), schedule regular appointments to monitor your intraocular pressure and overall eye health.
• Avoid eye strain: Take frequent breaks when using digital screens or reading to reduce pressure on your eyes, which can help manage conditions related to raised eye pressure.
