Xifacol 400 MG Tablet 10 is used to manage traveller’s diarrhea, prevent overt hepatic encephalopathy recurrence, and control symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. It helps restore normal bowel function and alleviate related discomfort.

Xifacol 400 MG Tablet 10 contains a single active ingredient: Rifaximin (400 mg). The ways that rifaximin works on the body are as follows:

• Inhibits Bacterial RNA Synthesis: Rifaximin works by blocking the process that bacteria use to make their proteins, effectively stopping the growth of E. coli bacteria causing diarrhoea.
• Reduces Breakdown of Ammonia: For hepatic encephalopathy management, rifaximin helps reduce the breakdown of ammonia by intestinal bacteria. This action results in lower blood ammonia levels and prevents neurological symptoms associated with high ammonia levels.

• Store your Xifacol 400 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.
• Keep the medicine away from exposure to light and moisture.

• If you have traveller's diarrhoea, drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and avoid spicy or oily foods that can make your symptoms worse.
