Voglimet GM 2 Forte Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Voglimet GM 2 Forte Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): As a sulfonylurea, stimulates the pancreas to secrete more insulin by binding to special receptors on pancreatic beta cells, which are the cells that produce insulin.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): This is alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, it slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the small intestine. It works by blocking alpha-glucosidase enzymes that break down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars that can be absorbed.

• Metformin (1000 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, decreases absorption of glucose from the intestines, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and use in body tissues. It works by activating an enzyme called AMP-activated protein kinase.
