Ursocol SR 450 Tablet is used to dissolve small cholesterol-based gallstones, to manage primary biliary cholangitis and to treat liver disease linked to cystic fibrosis in children aged 6 to 18 years.

Uses of Ursocol SR 450 Tablet are:

• Primary Biliary Cholangitis: Manages this liver disease, in which the bile ducts are damaged by the body's own immune system.
• Gallstone Dissolution: Helps dissolve small cholesterol-based gallstones without surgery.
• Cystic Fibrosis-Related Liver Disease: Helps treat liver complications of cystic fibrosis in children aged 6 to 18 years.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

The Ursocol SR 450 tablet is taken orally. 

Ursocol SR 450 tablet contains the following components:

• Ursodeoxycholic acid (450 mg): It enhances the solubilisation of cholesterol in bile, reducing the formation and promoting the dissolution of gallstones. This mechanism is particularly relevant for small gallstones that may not be visible on X-ray.
