Tyza Tablet is used to treat persistent fungal infections of the skin, hair and nails, including athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm and fungal nail infection (onychomycosis). It contains terbinafine, an antifungal that works by stopping the fungus from growing and spreading.
Terbinafine acts throughout the body, making it effective against infections that are widespread or deeply embedded in the nails and hair follicles. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Continue the course for the full duration advised, even after your symptoms improve, as nail infections in particular need prolonged treatment to clear completely.
Keeping the affected area clean and dry, wearing breathable footwear, and avoiding sharing towels, socks or nail clippers can help prevent the infection from spreading or returning.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, psoriasis, or are taking other medicines. Tell your doctor if you notice persistent nausea, unusual tiredness, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, as these may need urgent attention. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by your doctor.
