Trilosar 6.25 Tablet is used for the following health conditions:

• Effective management of high blood pressure or hypertension

• Control of blood pressure when monotherapy proves insufficient

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

Trilosar 6.25 Tablet is taken orally.

Trilosar 6.25 Tablet's effectiveness lies in the combined action of its three active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): Acting as a calcium channel blocker, amlodipine hinders the entry of calcium ions into the cells of your blood vessels and heart. Consequently, it causes the blood vessels to widen, reducing the resistance to blood flow, which eventually leads to a decrease in blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): Identified as a thiazide-like diuretic, chlorthalidone prevents the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in a part of the kidneys known as the distal convoluted tubule. This action results in increased excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from your body, thereby decreasing the volume of fluid in your blood vessels and lowering blood pressure.

• Losartan (50 mg): This component is an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Losartan attaches itself to a receptor called AT1, blocking the effects of a hormone called angiotensin II. As a result, it causes blood vessels to widen and reduces the secretion of another hormone called aldosterone, both of which help lower blood pressure.

• Store Trilosar 6.25 Tablet in a tightly closed container.

• Keep it at a cool room temperature, ideally between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
