CompositionTopaz 25 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy and help prevent seizures. It is a single-ingredient anticonvulsant medicine containing topiramate.
This medicine is also used to help prevent migraine attacks. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to reduce the risk of kidney stones, and take care in hot weather, as this medicine can reduce sweating. Getting enough sleep and avoiding alcohol support seizure control.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney stones or eye problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report sudden eye pain or blurred vision, tingling in the hands and feet, or reduced sweating. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
