CompositionTopamac 25 Tablet is used to control epilepsy and to prevent migraine headaches. It reduces how often seizures and migraines occur.
It contains topiramate, an anticonvulsant. It works by settling the abnormal electrical activity in the brain that triggers seizures and migraines.
Swallow the tablet whole with plenty of water, which helps prevent kidney stones, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can increase seizures. For migraine, it prevents attacks rather than stopping one that has started.
Tell your doctor about any kidney stones, glaucoma or mood problems before use, and note that effective contraception is important, as it can harm an unborn baby. Report eye pain or blurred vision, or persistent confusion.
