Tiova Rotacap is used for the long-term management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma in adults. It helps keep the airways open, easing breathing and reducing symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
It contains tiotropium, a long-acting bronchodilator. Use it with the Rotahaler device, exactly as prescribed; it is meant for regular, ongoing control and not for sudden breathlessness. Do not stop using it even if you feel well, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Quitting smoking is the most important step to support lung health, along with staying active within your limits, keeping up with recommended vaccinations, and using any quick-relief inhaler your doctor prescribes.
Before use, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, kidney problems, or difficulty passing urine. Tell your doctor if you notice sudden worsening of breathlessness. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
