Follow these instructions while taking Ticlop 250 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Take the medicine at the same times each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

Ticlop 250 MG Tablet 10 contains ticlopidine (250 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits Platelet Aggregation: Ticlopidine prevents platelets (tiny blood cells) from sticking together, which helps stop harmful blood clots from forming in your arteries.

• Blocks P2Y12 Receptors: It irreversibly blocks specific receptors called P2Y12 on the surface of platelets, preventing a substance called adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from attaching to these receptors.

• Prevents GPIIb/IIIa Activation: By blocking the P2Y12 receptors, ticlopidine may stop the activation of the GPIIb/IIIa receptor complex, which is essential for platelets to cross-link with a protein called fibrinogen.
