Composition

Emtricitabine (200 Mg) + Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (300 Mg)

Tavin Em Tablet 30 is used to manage HIV infection in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above. It is a combination medicine that belongs to a class of medications known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).

The medicine is also prescribed as a preventive measure for individuals at high risk of acquiring HIV-1 infection, which is known as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). When taken consistently, it can significantly lower the chances of getting infected through sexual contact, helping to protect people who may be exposed to the virus.
