Synca LS Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Lowering high pressure within the eyes in open-angle glaucoma

• Controlling increased eye pressure due to ocular hypertension

• Supporting situations where a single medication is not sufficient to manage eye pressure

To use Synca LS Eye Drops effectively, follow these steps:

• First, wash your hands thoroughly.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a pocket.

• Invert the bottle and squeeze it gently to release one drop into your eye. Remember not to touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination.

• Gently close your eye and press your fingertip against the inner corner of your eye for 1-2 minutes. This helps minimise systemic absorption.

• If you need to use other eye medications, wait for at least 5 minutes before putting them.

• Contact lens users should remove their lenses before using this medicine and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

Synca LS Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Synca LS Eye Drops contain two active ingredients that work together to lower intraocular pressure:

• Brinzolamide (1% w/v): Brinzolamide works by inhibiting an enzyme in the ciliary body called carbonic anhydrase II. This leads to fewer bicarbonate ions forming, which decreases the transport of sodium and fluid into the posterior chamber of the eye. This ultimately results in less eye fluid being produced.

• Brimonidine (0.1% w/v): This ingredient reduces the production of eye fluid by decreasing blood flow to the ciliary body, which is the fluid-producing tissue in your eyes. It also increases the drainage of eye fluid through another pathway in your eye known as the uveoscleral pathway.

• Maintain Synca LS Eye Drops at a room temperature below 25°C.

• Shield the medicine from direct light and moisture for its longevity.

• Ensure the bottle is firmly closed when not in use to prevent any contamination.

• Store the medicine out of children's reach to ensure their safety.

• Use the drops within 28 days of opening; discard any remaining solution after this.

• Regular exercise: Engaging in daily physical activities can help manage glaucoma by increasing blood flow to your eyes, thereby potentially reducing intraocular pressure.

• Healthy diet: Consuming a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, especially dark leafy greens, and fish high in omega-3 fatty acids can contribute to overall eye health, supporting the management of conditions like glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
