• Ergot-containing medications: Medicines like ergotamine can cause spasms of the blood vessels when taken with Suminat 50 Tablet. This is a condition known as a vasospastic reaction.

• MAO inhibitors: Medicines such as selegiline and phenelzine, when taken alongside Suminat 50 Tablet, increase the risk of serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition.

• Antidepressants: Medicines like fluoxetine (SSRI) and venlafaxine (SNRI), when used in combination with Suminat 50 Tablet, increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.

• Myocardial Infarction and Coronary Artery Disease: People who have had a heart attack or have heart disease may experience worsening of symptoms due to the action of Suminat 50 Tablet.

• Cerebrovascular Syndromes: Conditions like stroke or transient ischemic attack are affected by this medicine as it can influence blood flow to the brain.

• Liver Disease: Patients with severe liver impairment may have increased levels of sumatriptan in their blood as this medicine is extensively metabolised by the liver. This can lead to increased side effects.
