StorFib 145 Tablet combines two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This substance works by competitively inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a vital role in producing cholesterol within your liver. It also increases LDL receptors in liver cells, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol. Furthermore, it reduces the production of VLDL, a precursor of LDL. The summed effect is a reduction in total cholesterol, LDL levels and triglycerides.

• Fenofibrate (145 mg): This ingredient activates a receptor known as PPAR-α, which helps increase the activity of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase that breaks down triglycerides in VLDL and chylomicrons. Additionally, it reduces the production of apolipoprotein C-III, which inhibits lipoprotein lipase while increasing the synthesis of apolipoproteins A-I and A-II, key proteins in HDL. It also helps reduce serum uric acid levels by encouraging urinary excretion.
