Spegra Tablet is a combination antiretroviral medicine used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) infection in adults and adolescents. It is prescribed to lower the viral load in the body and help maintain immune function.
It contains three active ingredients: dolutegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide. These components work together to block the enzymes needed by the virus to multiply, effectively reducing the viral load and helping preserve immune function.
Take this tablet at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as prescribed. It is crucial to take this medication continuously without skipping any doses, as irregular use can lead to the virus developing drug resistance.
Before use, tell your doctor if you have a history of liver disease (including Hepatitis B or C), kidney disorders, or psychiatric conditions. It should only be used during pregnancy under careful specialist medical supervision.
