Spectliv 450 Tablet 10

Spectliv 450 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Dissolving cholesterol-rich gallstones in the gallbladder
• Preventing the formation of gallstones in obese patients during rapid weight loss
• Managing primary biliary cirrhosis, a chronic condition that slowly damages bile ducts in the liver

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.
• Ideally, take the tablet with food to minimise any potential digestive discomfort.
• Maintain regularity by taking this medicine at approximately the same times each day.

Spectliv 450 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Spectliv 450 Tablet 10 contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (450 mg). Its activity in the body includes:

• Cholesterol Reduction: Ursodeoxycholic acid decreases cholesterol secretion into bile by inhibiting its absorption in your gut and suppressing its synthesis in your liver. This reduces the saturation of bile with cholesterol.
• Gallstone Management: It increases the solubility of cholesterol in bile, dissolving stones and preventing new stone formation.
• Bile Flow Improvement: It has immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory properties that improve bile flow in PBC and protect liver cells.
