It is a single-ingredient medicine containing trimetazidine, a metabolic anti-anginal medicine that helps the heart muscle use energy more efficiently, which can ease angina symptoms.
It is often used alongside other anti-anginal treatments rather than on its own. It is a modified-release (MR) tablet taken regularly as prescribed. It eases symptoms but does not reduce how often angina attacks occur.
