Sibastin M Tablet 10

Sibastin M Tablet is used in the following condition:

• Manage the symptoms of allergic rhinitis: It is an inflammatory condition characterised by sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, and a runny nose triggered by allergens. This tablet helps manage these symptoms. 

• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change your dose of Sibastin M Tablet or take them more often than prescribed.

Sibastin M Tablet is taken orally as a tablet.

Sibastin M Tablet contains the following components:

• Ebastine (10 mg): It is an H1 antihistamine that selectively blocks the H1 histamine receptor. This action prevents the effects of histamine, a substance in your body that triggers allergic symptoms like itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. Its fast action and long-lasting effect make it efficient in controlling these symptoms.
• Montelukast (10 mg): It is a leukotriene receptor antagonists. It targets leukotrienes, which are inflammatory compounds released in response to allergens. By blocking the action of leukotrienes, montelukast helps to decrease inflammation in the airways, effectively addressing symptoms like nasal congestion and difficulty breathing associated with allergic rhinitis. 

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Sibastin M Tablet away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Use a saline nasal spray to rinse irritants and allergens from your nasal passages.
• Minimise exposure to allergens like pollen, dust mites, and pet dander by keeping windows closed, wearing face masks, and maintaining clean living spaces.
• Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water to help clear nasal passages and reduce congestion. Peppermint, eucalyptus, and tea tree essential oils can be used for steam inhalation or diffused to ease congestion.
• Apply a warm compress to your sinuses can help ease pain and pressure.
