Samlokind-AT Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina (chest pain from reduced blood flow to the heart) in adults. It contains amlodipine and atenolol, a calcium channel blocker and a beta-blocker, which relax blood vessels and ease the heart's workload, lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke by lowering blood pressure.
Take this tablet by mouth, with or without food, as prescribed, swallowing it whole. Continue taking it regularly, even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can worsen angina; your doctor will advise on stopping safely if needed.
Restricting salt intake, eating a diet low in saturated fat, staying active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol all help support blood pressure control. Avoid smoking, as it increases cardiovascular risk.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, heart failure, asthma, or a slow heartbeat before starting this medicine. Report swelling of the ankles or feet, dizziness, a very slow heartbeat, or worsening breathlessness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
