Samlokind At Tablet 10

Samlokind-AT Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure levels

• Reducing the risk of complications such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney problems due to hypertension

• Alleviating chest pain associated with heart disease

Follow these instructions while taking Samlokind-AT Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take your medicine around the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Samlokind-AT Tablet is taken orally.

Samlokind-AT Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• S-amlodipine (2.5 mg): This ingredient is an S-enantiomer of amlodipine, which is a long-acting calcium channel blocker. S-amlodipine relaxes your blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood and improving your blood flow. This action further assists in lowering your blood pressure and relieving symptoms of angina.

• Atenolol (50 mg): As a beta-1 selective adrenergic receptor blocking agent, or beta-blocker, atenolol works by blocking the effects of certain hormones on the heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and decreases the force of your heart contractions, which lowers your blood pressure and reduces the workload on your heart.

• Store Samlokind-AT Tablet at room temperature, below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a tightly closed container.

• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Make sure to keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use Samlokind-AT Tablet before its expiry date.

• If you are taking Samlokind-AT Tablet for managing high blood pressure, aim to reduce your salt intake. Consuming less salt can help control your blood pressure levels.

• Regular moderate exercise, like a daily walk, can also be beneficial. This helps improve heart health and manage conditions like hypertension and angina pectoris, for which Samlokind-AT Tablet is prescribed. Please consult your doctor about the type and amount of exercise suitable for you.
