Rosulip 10 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing rosuvastatin 10mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called statins.
This medicine lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and helps slow the build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries (atherosclerosis). It is also used in people with inherited high cholesterol. Take it once a day at the same time, with or without food, alongside a heart-healthy diet and regular exercise.
Following a diet low in saturated fat, staying physically active, keeping a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support better cholesterol control.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, an underactive thyroid, muscle problems, diabetes, or drink a lot of alcohol, and about other medicines you take, especially ciclosporin, fibrates and blood thinners. Your doctor may check your liver and cholesterol with blood tests. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine, straight away. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
