RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 is used for the following:

• Treating acute migraine attacks
• Managing migraine headaches with aura
• Relieving migraine headaches without aura
• Easing migraine-related pain and discomfort
• Reducing sensitivity to light during migraines
• Decreasing sound sensitivity during migraine attacks
• Alleviating nausea associated with migraines
• Addressing migraine symptoms in adults

Here are some instructions while taking RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1:

• Place the disintegrating strip directly in the mouth; it will dissolve quickly without needing water.
• Allow the disintegrating strip to fully dissolve on the tongue before swallowing.
• It is recommended to take RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 with or just after a meal
• Take the disintegrating strip at the same time each day to maintain an even level of medicine in the body.
• Follow your doctor's prescribed dose and do not chew or swallow the disintegrating strip whole; avoid exceeding the recommended dose.

RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 is taken orally.

RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 contains Rizatriptan (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Serotonin Receptor Binding: Rizatriptan selectively attaches to specific serotonin receptors (5-HT1B/1D) located on blood vessels in the brain and on sensory nerves of the trigeminal system.
• Blood vessel constriction: By activating these receptors, rizatriptan causes the abnormally dilated blood vessels in the brain to narrow, which helps reduce the pain signals that cause migraine headaches.
• Neuropeptide inhibition: Rizatriptan blocks the release of inflammatory substances called neuropeptides from nerve endings, which helps reduce inflammation and pain transmission in the brain.
• Symptom relief: Through these combined actions, rizatriptan effectively alleviates typical migraine symptoms such as headache pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.

• Store RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 at a temperature of not more than 30°C.
• Keep the medicine away from excess heat and moisture.
• Store in the original packaging to protect from light.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Do not use RIZANET 10 DISINTEGRATING STRIP 1 after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Maintain regular sleep and meal patterns, as skipping meals or irregular sleep can trigger migraine attacks in many people.
