Ritomune 100 MG Tablet 60 is used for the following:

• Treatment of HIV infection

• Management of AIDS-related conditions

• Boosting the effectiveness of other antiretroviral medicines

• Suppression of HIV viral replication

• Prevention of HIV disease progression

• Maintenance of immune system health

• Support of combination antiretroviral therapy

• Management of mild to moderate COVID-19 cases

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with meals to improve absorption.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

Ritomune 100 MG Tablet 60 contains ritonavir (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• HIV Protease Inhibition: Ritonavir blocks an enzyme called HIV protease that the virus needs to mature and replicate, preventing new copies of HIV from becoming infectious.

• Enzyme Inhibition: It inhibits CYP3A4 liver enzymes, which normally break down many medicines in the body, allowing other HIV medicines to remain in your bloodstream longer.
