Risofos 35 Tablet 4

Risofos 35 Tablet is used to manage postmenopausal osteoporosis, increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis, prevent and treat glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, and manage Paget’s disease of the bone. It strengthens bones and reduces the risk of fractures.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water.
• Take the tablet in an upright position to make sure it reaches your stomach.
• Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet.
• Remember to take your medicine on the same day each week.
• Make sure to take the tablet at least 30 minutes before having anything other than water.
• Avoid taking calcium, antacids, and other medicines containing polyvalent cations at the same time as this medicine.

Risofos 35 Tablet consists of risedronate (35 mg), which works as follows:

• Inhibits Bone Resorption: Risedronate works by blocking osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. Osteoclasts are cells that break down bone tissue, so by inhibiting their activity, risedronate helps maintain healthy bones.
• Increases Bone Density: By reducing bone resorption, risedronate effectively increases the density of bones.
• Reduces Risk of Fractures: Through these actions, risedronate helps strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures, particularly in individuals suffering from osteoporosis or Paget's disease.

• Store Risofos 35 Tablet in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
• Maintain an ideal storage temperature below 30°C.
• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.
• Use it before the expiry date marked on the package.

• Ensure you have an adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D in your diet. This can come from dairy products, green leafy vegetables, or supplements if your dietary intake is insufficient. This helps in managing conditions like osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone for which Risofos 35 Tablet is prescribed.
• Engage in weight-bearing exercises like walking, dancing or lifting weights to strengthen bones and improve bone health. Consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
