Resof Total Tablet is used in the comprehensive treatment of chronic hepatitis C viral infection to eliminate the virus and protect liver function.

Uses of Resof Total Tablet are:

• Chronic Hepatitis C Treatment: Clears hepatitis C viral infection across various viral genotypes.
• Liver Protection: Helps prevent progressive liver damage, fibrosis, and cirrhosis associated with chronic infection.
• Retreatment and Naive Cases: Suitable for both newly diagnosed patients and those who failed previous antiviral therapies.

Follow these instructions while taking Resof Total Tablet 28:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• You can take this tablet with or without food.

Resof Total Tablet 28 is taken orally.

Resof Total Tablet 28 contains two active ingredients:

• Sofosbuvir (400 mg): This component works as a nucleotide analogue that inhibits the NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, an enzyme essential for viral replication. Once absorbed, sofosbuvir undergoes metabolism inside your cells to form its active form, which then incorporates into the viral RNA chain, stopping the virus from multiplying.

• Velpatasvir (100 mg): This ingredient targets the NS5A protein, another crucial component in the HCV replication process. By binding to this protein, velpatasvir disrupts both viral RNA replication and the assembly of new virus particles, effectively preventing the virus from spreading in your body.

• Keep Resof Total Tablet 28 in its original container, tightly closed.

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Protect from excessive moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight.

• Keep away from bathroom storage areas due to humidity concerns.

• Store all medicines out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Maintain regular meal schedules and drink plenty of water throughout the day to help minimise gastrointestinal side effects that may occur during your treatment.

• Maintaining a healthy weight through diet and light daily exercise, such as walking, can reduce fat accumulation in the liver and boost the immune system.
