Sovihep V Tablet 28

Sovihep V Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy due to the potential risk of harm to the unborn baby, particularly when taken in combination with ribavirin. Women of childbearing potential must use reliable and effective contraception during treatment with Sovihep V Tablet, as well as for a period following the end of therapy, as recommended by their doctor. 

It is not known whether Sovihep V Tablet or its metabolites pass into breast milk. Therefore, to ensure the safety of the nursing infant, breastfeeding should be avoided while taking this medication.

Alcohol consumption should be limited or avoided during treatment with Sovihep V Tablet. Chronic alcohol use can further strain the liver, potentially worsening liver damage or cirrhosis in patients with hepatitis C. 

Patients with advanced liver disease, such as decompensated cirrhosis, require close medical supervision when taking Sovihep V Tablet. Liver function tests should be regularly monitored to assess the progression of liver disease and the impact of the tablet. In some cases, adjustments in the treatment regimen or additional therapies may be necessary. 

Caution is advised for patients with kidney impairment, particularly those with severe kidney disease or end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis. Impaired kidney function may lead to the accumulation of the drug in the body, increasing the risk of adverse effects. Dosage adjustments may be required, and kidney function should be regularly monitored during treatment.

Sovihep V Tablet may cause side effects such as fatigue, dizziness, or drowsiness, which could impair your ability to concentrate or react quickly. Patients are advised to avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or engaging in activities requiring alertness if they experience these symptoms. 

Patients with a known allergy to sofosbuvir, velpatasvir  or any other ingredients in Sovihep V Tablet should not take this medication. If any allergic reactions occur, discontinue the medication immediately and seek emergency medical attention.

Sovihep V Tablet is not recommended for use in children under the age of 18, as the safety and efficacy of this medication have not been adequately studied in this age group. If a child requires treatment for hepatitis C, consult a pediatric specialist for appropriate alternatives or therapies specifically approved for pediatric use.

Older adults may be more susceptible to the side effects of Sovihep V Tablet due to age-related changes in liver and kidney function, as well as the potential for multiple coexisting medical conditions or concurrent medications. Doctors may adjust the treatment regimen based on the patient’s overall health status and tolerance to the medication.
