Refzil O 500Mg Tablet 6

Refzil O Tablet is used for management of respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis and tonsillitis, and handling ear infections.

Uses of Refzil O 500mg Tablet 6 are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis and tonsillitis.
• Ear Infections: Manages bacterial ear infections.
• Other Bacterial Infections: Used for other susceptible bacterial infections as directed by your doctor.

Here's how you should take Refzil O Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.  

• Ensure you complete the course prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve before it's finished.

• Always consult your doctor before altering the dosage or discontinuing the medication.

Refzil O Tablet is taken orally.

Refzil O Tablet contains cefprozil (500 mg), which works on the body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefprozil targets and inactivates specific enzymes called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). These proteins are essential for forming cell walls in bacteria.

• Causes Bacterial Cell Lysis: Once the PBPs are inactivated by cefprozil, the bacteria are unable to form their cell walls effectively. This causes the bacterial cells to rupture or 'lyse', resulting in death.

• Store Refzil O Tablet at a temperature not more than 30°C.

• Make sure the storage area is free from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from air.

• Ensure that Refzil O Tablet is safely out of the reach of children.

• Remember to use this medication before its expiry date.

• If you are managing an infection with Refzil O Tablet, ensure you stay well-hydrated and urinate frequently to help flush bacteria out of your urinary tract.

• Include vitamin C-rich foods in your diet. This nutrient can inhibit bacterial growth, helping manage infections such as those treated by Refzil O Tablet.
