Rab 20Mg Tablet is used to treat acid-related stomach and food pipe conditions, including severe heartburn, acid reflux (GERD) and stomach or duodenal ulcers. It is a single-ingredient proton pump inhibitor (PPI) containing rabeprazole.
It is also used to prevent stomach ulcers in people taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Take it preferably on an empty stomach in the morning, swallowing it whole with water without crushing or chewing it, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Eat smaller meals, avoid trigger foods such as spicy, fatty or acidic foods, avoid lying down immediately after eating and maintain a healthy weight.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, bone thinning (osteoporosis) or low magnesium levels, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. If you need long-term treatment, your doctor may monitor your mineral levels and kidney function periodically. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
