R Loc D Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease by controlling the backflow of acid that causes burning and swallowing problems. It is also used to support healing in peptic ulcers by reducing irritation in the stomach and intestinal lining, helping ease nausea, indigestion, appetite changes, vomiting, weight fluctuations, and blood-tinged stools.

Here's how you should administer R-Loc D Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it.

• Stick to the recommended dose and avoid exceeding it without consulting your doctor.

• If you happen to miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without first discussing it with your doctor.

R-Loc D Tablet is taken orally.

R-Loc D Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Domperidone (10 mg): This is a prokinetic agent that influences dopamine receptors in your gut. By doing so, it helps increase the contractions of stomach muscles and promotes better movement of food. It also tightens the lower esophageal sphincter preventing reflux. Additionally, domperidone blocks messages to the brain that trigger feelings of nausea and vomiting.

• Ranitidine (150 mg): This ingredient is categorised as a histamine-2 (H2) receptor antagonist. Its main function is to block H2 receptors on stomach cells which in turn reduces the production and secretion of gastric acid. This action can provide relief from acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

• Store R-Loc D Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Be sure to use the medicine before its expiry date for maximum effectiveness.

• If you're managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try eating smaller, more frequent meals instead of three large ones. Overeating can increase stomach pressure, causing acid reflux.

• For those with peptic ulcers, limit your consumption of spicy foods. They might irritate your stomach lining and aggravate symptoms.
