Proluton Depot 250mg Injection 1ml is used for the following:

• Lowering the risk of preterm birth in women with a history of singleton spontaneous preterm delivery

• Maintaining a state of rest in the uterus during pregnancy

• Supporting the healthy maintenance of the uterine lining in pregnant women

Administer Proluton Depot 250mg Injection 1ml as follows:

• The injection is to be administered intramuscularly only by a trained healthcare professional.

• It should not be self-administered at home.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the timing of your injections.

• If you are due an injection but cannot reach your doctor's office, consult your doctor about rescheduling.

• Do not attempt to catch up on missed doses without consulting your doctor.

Proluton Depot 250mg Injection 1ml contains hydroxyprogesterone (250 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Promotes Uterine Quiescence: Hydroxyprogesterone helps maintain a state of rest in the uterus, known as uterine quiescence. This essentially suppresses uterine contractions, helping to prevent preterm birth.

• Maintains the Uterine Lining: Hydroxyprogesterone also assists in maintaining the uterine lining, which is crucial for a healthy pregnancy. A healthy uterine lining is better equipped to support the development of the foetus, thus further reducing the risk of preterm birth.

• Store Proluton Depot 250mg Injection 1ml in the refrigerator or (2°C - 8°C). Do Not Freeze.
