Prevent N tablet can interact with the following medicines:

• Anticonvulsants like Carbamazepine, Phenytoin : It may reduce the effectiveness of these seizure medications.
• Antiviral drugs like Nelfinavir, Ritonavir : There could be altered absorption or metabolism of antiviral drugs when taken with Prevent-N Tablet affecting their efficacy.
• Medicine for Cushing’s syndrome like Aminoglutethimide: This tablet may impact the effectiveness of Aminoglutethimide in treating Cushing's syndrome.
• Antibiotics like Co-trimoxazole, Rifampicin, Tetracycline : Interaction with Prevent-N Tablet may reduce antibiotic efficacy or promote antibiotic resistance.
• Immunosuppressants like Ciclosporin : This medicine may lead to fluctuations in Ciclosporin levels, affecting its immune-suppressing effects and increasing the risk of toxicity.

Prevent N tablet can interact with the following food items:

• St. John’s wort (herbal medicine used to treat depression)- It may interact with this herb
• Grape juice - It may increase the levels of Prevent-N Tablet in the blood.

Prevent N tablet can interact with the following diseases:

• Depression: It can cause or worsen depression in some people. It is important to monitor your mood and mental health while taking norethisterone.
• Retinal thrombosis: It can increase the risk of retinal thrombosis, a blood clot in the eye. This is a rare but serious side effect.
• Hyperlipidemia: It might worsen the condition.
