OXRA S 5/100 TABLET 15 is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Improving blood sugar control with diet and exercise

• Alternative therapy when metformin is inappropriate

• Add-on treatment to other diabetes medicines

• Lowering glucose levels in the bloodstream

• Helping maintain healthy glycaemic control

• Supporting pancreatic insulin production

• Decreasing liver glucose production

• Increasing glucose elimination through urine

Follow these instructions while taking OXRA S 5/100 TABLET 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Keep taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

OXRA S 5/100 TABLET 15 is taken orally.

OXRA S 5/100 TABLET 15 contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (5 mg): Acts as a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that blocks glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, causing excess glucose to be removed through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels.

• Sitagliptin (100 mg): Functions as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that slows the breakdown of incretin hormones in your body. This action increases insulin production after meals when needed and reduces the amount of glucose made by your liver, helping to control blood sugar.

• Store OXRA S 5/100 TABLET 15 at room temperature between 20-25°C.

• Keep the container tightly closed to protect from moisture.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Monitor your carbohydrate intake and choose low glycaemic index foods (like whole grains, legumes, and non-starchy vegetables) to help maintain steady blood glucose levels.

• Aim for regular physical activity of at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week, as this improves insulin sensitivity and helps manage your blood sugar levels.
