Oxerute Cream is used to relieve symptoms associated with haemorrhoids, such as pain, itching, and swelling. It is a combination medicine containing calcium dobesilate, hydrocortisone, lidocaine, phenylephrine, troxerutin, and zinc oxide, and belongs to the class of local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory topical preparations.
This cream combines lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that numbs the area to relieve pain, with hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid that reduces redness and swelling, calcium dobesilate and troxerutin, which strengthen blood vessels and promote healing, phenylephrine, which shrinks swollen blood vessels, and zinc oxide, which has antiseptic and astringent action.
This cream is also effective for treating anal fissures (small tears in the lining of the anus), helping to reduce pain, discomfort, and swelling. Apply this medicine only to the affected area as directed by your doctor, ensuring the area is clean and dry beforehand.
If you experience persistent irritation or other side effects, consult your healthcare provider. Avoid using it on broken or infected skin, and do not stop treatment suddenly without consulting your doctor.
