CompositionOrvas-10 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults with elevated LDL cholesterol, mixed dyslipidaemia, or multiple cardiovascular risk factors. At 10 mg, atorvastatin provides significant LDL reduction for most patients.
It contains atorvastatin 10 mg, a highly potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food. Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption during treatment.
A heart-healthy diet, regular physical activity, stopping smoking, and limiting alcohol all support the lipid-lowering benefits of this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems, kidney disease, thyroid disease, a history of muscle problems with other statins, or other medicines. Report any unexplained muscle pain, weakness, or tenderness promptly. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
