Omez Capsule is used to manage acid-related stomach conditions.

Uses of Omez Capsule are:

• GERD and Heartburn: Reduces stomach acid to relieve reflux and heartburn.
• Ulcers: Supports healing of stomach and duodenal ulcers.
• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Reduces the high acid levels seen in this rare condition.

To use Omez Capsule correctly, follow these steps:

• Consult a doctor for specific advice on dosage and duration.
• Take Omez Capsule one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning.
• Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush, break, or chew it.
• You may take antacids if needed but avoid taking them at the same time as Omez Capsule.
• If using sucralfate, take it at least 30 minutes before taking Omez Capsule.
• Take Omez Capsule regularly at the same time each day for maximum benefit.
• Even if your symptoms improve, continue taking Omez Capsule for the full prescribed length of treatment.

Omez Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed. Do not take it in any other way.

Omez Capsule contains omeprazole as its active ingredient.

• Omeprazole belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors.
• It works by reducing the production of acid in your stomach.
• By inhibiting a specific enzyme called H+/K+ ATPase, omeprazole blocks the final step of acid production in the stomach.
• This helps relieve symptoms such as heartburn and allows the healing of acid damage to the stomach and oesophagus.
• Omeprazole can also help prevent ulcers from forming and may reduce the risk of developing oesophagal cancer.
• The effects of omeprazole can last up to 72 hours after a single dose, ensuring sustained relief from symptoms.

• Store Omez Capsule in a cool, dry place.
• Protect the medicine from light and moisture by keeping it in its original packaging.
• Keep the product out of reach and sight of children.
• Use the medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Avoid spicy, greasy, and acidic foods that can trigger heartburn and acid reflux.
• Eat smaller, more frequent meals instead of large meals.
• Maintain a healthy weight to reduce pressure on your stomach.
• Avoid lying down immediately after eating; wait at least 2-3 hours before lying down or going to bed.
• Quit smoking as it can worsen symptoms.
• Limit alcohol consumption as it can irritate the stomach lining.
• Manage stress through relaxation techniques like deep breathing exercises or yoga.
• Elevate the head of your bed by using a wedge pillow to prevent acid reflux during sleep.

• Take Omez Capsule as prescribed by your doctor.
• If swallowing is difficult, open the capsule and mix the contents with cool applesauce.
• Take Omez Capsule one hour before breakfast for best results.
• Do not take Omez Capsule for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.
