CompositionOmey 20 Capsule is a medicine used to treat acid-related disorders of the stomach and digestive tract, including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, heartburn, and peptic ulcer disease. It also supports the healing of stomach and intestinal ulcers.
It contains omeprazole, which belongs to a group of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Take the capsule in the morning before food or breakfast as prescribed. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush it.
Eating smaller meals, avoiding trigger foods (such as spicy, greasy, or caffeine-rich items), keeping your head elevated while sleeping, and avoiding lying down immediately after eating can support acid management.
Inform your doctor if you have severe liver problems, osteoporosis, or low vitamin B12 levels before using this medicine. Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors may require monitoring of blood magnesium and bone health. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
