OLWORM SUSPENSION 10ML contains albendazole (400 mg), which operates in your body as follows:

• Inhibits Polymerisation of Worm β-tubulin: Albendazole targets the β-tubulin protein inside parasitic worms and prevents its polymerisation. This action results in the loss of cytoplasmic microtubules within these worms.

• Reduces Glucose Uptake: By inhibiting β-tubulin polymerisation, albendazole reduces glucose uptake by both larval and adult stages of susceptible parasites. This leads to the depletion of their energy stores.

• Induces Parasite Death: The reduced energy production renders the parasites immobile and eventually causes their death. Albendazole is also found to be effective against some protozoan parasites such as Giardia.
