CompositionOlmezest Beta 50 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It is a combination medicine containing olmesartan medoxomil (an angiotensin receptor blocker) and metoprolol succinate (a beta-blocker).
It lowers blood pressure and eases the strain on the heart, which helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems. Take it at a regular time in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a rebound rise in heart rate or blood pressure.
Cut down on salt from pickles, papad and packaged snacks and limit alcohol. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate or diabetes, as it can mask the warning signs of low blood sugar, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Do not use it in pregnancy. Report a very slow pulse or breathlessness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
