Oflomac Forte Solution is used to treat bacterial infections in children.

Uses of Oflomac Forte Solution are:

• Chest Infections: Treats pneumonia and chest infections.
• Gut Infections: Treats typhoid and infectious diarrhoea.
• Skin and Other Infections: Treats skin, eye, ear, bone, joint and urinary infections.

Please follow these steps when giving Oflomac Forte Solution 60ml to your child:

• Shake the syrup bottle well before each use.

• Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to give your child the correct dose.

• This medicine can be given with or without food, but avoid giving it with dairy products.

• Keep the bottle tightly sealed after use.

Oflomac Forte Solution 60ml contains ofloxacin (100 mg) acting as follows:

• Inhibiting Bacterial Enzymes: Ofloxacin works by blocking two crucial bacterial enzymes - DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are vital for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination.

• Killing Bacteria: By inhibiting these enzymes, ofloxacin prevents bacterial DNA activities leading to cell death. This action makes it effective against most gram-negative bacteria, some gram-positive bacteria, and certain anaerobes.

• Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic: As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, it has activity against a wide range of bacteria making it useful in managing various types of bacterial infections.

• Store Oflomac Forte Solution 60ml in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.

• Shield the syrup from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
