Normoz Met Tablet 15

Normoz Met Tablet 15 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antidiabetic medicines (e.g., insulin, glimepiride, gliclazide): Taking these medicines together may increase the risk of low blood glucose levels. Your doctor may monitor blood glucose and adjust treatment if necessary.
• Corticosteroids (e.g., prednisolone, dexamethasone): These medicines may increase blood glucose levels and reduce the effectiveness of metformin. Your doctor may monitor blood glucose levels and adjust treatment if required.
• Diuretics (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide): These medicines may affect kidney function and blood glucose control, potentially influencing the effectiveness and safety of metformin. Monitoring may be required.
• Iodinated contrast media used during imaging procedures: Contrast agents may temporarily affect kidney function and increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Your doctor may temporarily stop metformin before and after certain imaging procedures.

Normoz Met Tablet 15 may interact with the following diseases:

• Kidney Disease: Reduced kidney function may increase metformin accumulation and increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Your doctor may adjust treatment or recommend regular kidney function monitoring.
• Liver Disease: Patients with significant liver impairment may be at increased risk of metabolic complications during treatment. Careful monitoring may be required.
• Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Long-term metformin treatment may reduce vitamin B12 absorption and worsen existing deficiency. Your doctor may periodically monitor vitamin B12 levels and recommend supplementation if required.
• Diabetes Mellitus: Patients with diabetes should continue regular blood glucose monitoring while taking this medicine. Treatment adjustments may be required depending on blood glucose control.

The daily dose of Normoz Met Tablet 15 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on the severity of PCOS, insulin resistance, treatment goals, and individual patient requirements. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Taking more than the recommended dose may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, dizziness, weakness, and in rare cases, lactic acidosis. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected. 

If you forget to take a dose of Normoz Met Tablet 15, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
